Tommy Marz is soaring to new heights in 2023. The 4X Billboard charting artist has successfully chartedback to back songs on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Airplay Chart as well as the Digital Sales Chart.
His hit song '15' that features Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder and producer Electropoint has charted on Billboard's AC Mainstream Airplay and Digital Sales Charts. Placing #25 on both. '15' also peaked at #22 on the iHeartRadio AC Top 40 and #3 on the iTunes Dance Chart.
Tommy's latest song 'Never Look Back' once again features Schroeder and Electropoint. This time around Marz enlists dynamic vocalist Caitlin Evanson (Taylor Swift). 'Never Look Back' currently sits inside of the Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 30 Chart and also set a personal best for Tommy cracking the Billboard Top 15 on the Digital Sales Chart. 'Never Look Back' also came in at #2 on the iTunes Dance Chart.
Marz and Schroeder are no strangers to working with one another. In 2021 they co-produced and performed during a virtual benefit show for Sweet Relief. The fundraiser went on to raise over $10,000 for the out of work road crews and featured many talented artists including Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), the late and legendary Mark Lanegan, Scotti Hill (Skid Row), Jack Hues (Wang Chung), Kevin Rudolf, Katie Cole, Jack Bates and Arion Salazar (Third Eye Blind).
They share their thoughts on working with one another on 'Never Look Back':
"Jeff and I really wanted to make a pop song that had a little bit more rock guitar in it. We both wanted to tell a specific story. Me lyrically and him musically. When the track was finished we both felt pretty happy with the results and feel like we accomplished our goal. In truth, I feel like it's the song I've been trying to write for most of my career but never felt satisfied. Until now." ~ Tommy Marz
"I love working on songs with Tommy because they are filled with so many catchy hooks and melodies. Within the context of the arrangement, Tommy's vocals and my guitar melodies are in conversation with each other and it creates a wonderful dynamic--an ebb and flow that mimics how we interact in real life. When I listen back to the final mix of the song, I hear all the joy we had working on the track." ~ Jeff Schroeder
Tommy's music is approaching 2 million streams on Spotify and has been featured on NBC, MTV and several films and documentaries.
